Economic Concerns Drive People Towards Pay-As-You-Go Insurance

These days, the state of the economy is still weighing heavily on the consumer mindset, and one way Americans are continuing to cut down on costs is by driving less.

According to the GMAC Insurance survey, which polled over 5,000 licensed Americans across the nation, 74 percent of participants listed the primary reason for driving less as "worry over the economy."

Survey Shows Consumers Plan to Drive Less, but Maybe Missing out on Auto Insurance Savings Insurance

With predictions foretelling shorter road trips in the coming year as a way of battling economic turbulence, drivers should be aware of auto insurance options that would make their financial future a bit smoother, such as the GMAC Insurance Low-Mileage Discount. According to a national survey that polled over 5,000 licensed American drivers, 30 percent of drivers plan to drive less in the next 12 months; yet, 93 percent of all respondents have never heard of a Pay-As-You-Go insurance pricing model for auto insurance that would essentially pay them for something they're already going to do.
